The chances are if you’ve landed on this page you’re wondering what the hell is FitKno and who’s this guy Matt Rakowski? Allow me to quickly answer these two questions for you.
What the hell is FitKno?
Adopting a journalistic approach, FitKno was created to dig deep into the worlds of fitness, sport, nutrition and general well-being. We’ll look at everything from how to make better educated decisions on what you eat and drink, what it takes to work in the industry and how to take care of your mental health.
FitKno is split into four areas, through which I hope you’ll learn something from every page you read.
Conversations with established professionals who give a detailed insight into their world—how they got there, what it takes and advice for people looking to follow a similar path. Expect some seriously valuable information—peppered with memorable anecdotes and real-life experience.
Written and researched by me—this is where I dig deep into topics that interest me (and you too, I hope). Nothing is off the agenda, wherever I see an article going before I put pen to paper, only the truth will prevail.
I’m a sucker for buying fitness and sports nutrition products—but some are head and shoulders above the rest. The reviews section is where I’ll give you my honest, unbiased assessment on a wide range of products. Whilst my opinion may differ from yours, I also explore the facts such as nutritional information and ingredients, to help you make better buying decisions. My views are entirely impartial—I am not sponsored by, working with or paid by any of the brands I review. Each product has been bought with my own money. By purchasing products through my site, I earn a small percentage of the transaction from an affiliate marketing program.
The blog section is the focal point for a wide range of diarised ramblings about my life. From documenting my own fitness journey to a behind the scenes insight into creating content for FitKno, you can read all about it in my blog posts.
Who’s Matt Rakowski?
I hate answering questions like this, but here goes: I’m a 40-year-old guy with an interest in sports and fitness. I work as a Marketing Manager/content creator and one day had the idea to combine the two in the form of a blog—FitKno was born.
I’m not a Personal Trainer, Nutritionist, or any kind of qualified fitness professional. However, I have an inquisitive mind and am passionate to explore subjects which interest me. This will be the driving force behind FitKno.
I live in Worcestershire, UK and am married to Maggie, with an adorable four-year-old daughter, Isobel—who is the centre of our world. One of the underlying features of FitKno will be how I fit everything in: work, family, keeping fit and creating content for FitKno—it’s a real challenge!
That’s about it for now. If you want to read more about me and what I get up to, why not check out my blog posts?
